From Wilmington/Raleigh NC: Take I-40W to exit #273A onto NC-54W toward Chapel Hill. 54W becomes Raleigh Road; keep right to stay on 54W. Go under the overpass and exit immediately right to continue on 54W. Stay on 54W (pass turns/exits for Dean Smith Center, 15-501 South, Merritt Mill Road) Exit at Jones Ferry/Carrboro Exit and turn right at light. Turn left at next light onto West Main. Go straight through next light at Weaver St. Pass the BP and E. Poplar Ave and take next right onto our tiny street with the sign: Dead End, 100 Hillsborough Rd. White house, metal sculpture at the drive and throughout the yard.
From Greensboro/Winston-Salem NC: Take 40E to NC54/Carrboro Exit. Turn right off exit and take 54 toward Carrboro, about 20-25 miles. Turn left at Carrboro Plaza Shopping Center stoplight onto West Main Street. (If you get to the Jones Ferry Exit, you've gone too far.) Come down West Main. Turn left into 100 Hillsborough/Dead End, a tiny street where West Main becomes 3-lane, directly across from Lanza's (formerly Honeysuckle) Cafe. (Don't turn at 200 Hillsborough, which is another road.) White house, metal sculptures at the drive & throughout the yard.
